It’s iOS 12 Release Day- The Top 5 iOS 12 features

Hey, Bobcats! If you’re already using an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad, you have probably heard the exciting news. Apple is releasing their newest software update today, iOS 12! With bug fixes, new features and more, I wanted to share with you what I think are the top 5 most exciting new features coming to your Apple devices today.

Measure: A brand new built-in app coming to iOS, Measure is going to be your measuring tape wherever you go. Using Apple’s augmented reality developer kit, the camera on your phone will be able to measure objects in real time. No more asking your friends or family to borrow tools!

Memoji: If you’ve got an iPhone X or newer, this is a fun update. You will now be able to create your own personal emoji or Memoji. Add a little flare to FaceTime calls or iMessages by creating your own virtual persona.

Do Not Disturb: Sometimes it’s hard to get away from our phones because of how many useful tools they give us, but you also need to stop and take a break from all the distractions sometimes, especially when it comes down to studying. In iOS 12, Apple has improved their Do Not Disturb tool. Edit who, or what app, is trying to reach you in case of emergencies, set timers and also restrict alerts while driving.

Group Facetime: You can finally speak to all of your friends, face-to-face, at the same time no matter where you are. Starting with iOS 12, Apple will be providing group FaceTime calls, allowing you to video chat with up to 32 people at once! No more downloading separate apps just to get your friends or family together.

Notifications: Apple is putting clutter to rest in iOS 12. Your notifications will now be organized by thread, app and more. No more scrolling for miles to see your notifications.
