It’s that time of the year again, where students slowly start counting the days left of summer vacation. In the back-to-school spirit we compiled a list of tech that can make the transition back to school smoother for you.
Flipp
As you prepare to buy school or dorm supplies, you can use Flipp to save a pretty penny. This app is a catalog of coupons! It features all types of retail stores such as H-E-B, Target, Academy, Office Depot, and so much more. It compiles the stores’ different coupons and deals into one place, making it faster and easier to get the deals you need on your back-to-school gear.
Macbook
Macbooks are popular laptops for Bobcats, who use them for everything from taking notes in classes to working on essays in Alkek. Now is the best time to score one if you’ve been thinking about picking one up for the new school year. They are the cheapest on Apple’s back-to-school promotion, which also includes a free pair of Beats headphones with any purchase of a Macbook or iPad. The campus store is an authorized Apple seller, which means you can snag your Apple gear without ever leaving campus.
Roku
While you may be thinking about all the studying you have ahead of you for fall, you’ll definitely need a way to unwind during the semester. You might think about picking up the Roku streaming stick, which is a portable device that once plugged in can connect to Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora, Spotify, HBO Go/Now, and hundreds of channels. We suggest you limit your time on this tech device, because it is known to cause a serious disease called procrastination.
Microsoft Office
Office 365 is a no-brainer. How else would you get all your work done? Just a friendly reminder that it’s not necessary to purchase the software since Office 365 is free to all Bobcats. You get free access to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which are all stored in your OneDrive. Through Office 365 you can also simultaneously work on projects with group members making collaboration less stressful!
