Tech to pack for move-In

Fall semester 2019 is fast approaching! Whether it’s your first semester at Texas State or your last, be sure to bring all necessities to your new “home away from home.” Here’s our list of tech essentials to provide a more comfortable experience:

Better safe than sorry. Surge protectors protect your expensive electronics in case of freak weather or electric outages. It’s also convenient to have your electronics plugged in together, so you can turn them all off together when trying to conserve energy.

When packing, students usually focus on large items such as bedding, clothes, etc., but don’t forget to bring your headphones or earbuds! They always come in handy while walking around campus and especially in your dorm when you’re looking for some “me time.”

Voice assistant

Amazon's Echo DotYou can’t bring your mom or sibling to college, but you can bring Alexa! An Echo Dot, the budget-friendly Echo, can assistant you by setting alarms, reminders, and answering your questions. It even doubles as a speaker so you can play all your favorite music.

USB Bed Lifts

It will make all your chargers more accessible. You’ll be able to turn in bed on your phone without disconnecting your charger!

Portable charger

You can leave it in your backpack so whenever you’re running out of juice you always have a backup. Portable chargers are also great to bring with you to football games, club meetings, concerts, or any other events.

We look forward to seeing more Bobcats on campus soon!
