DOIT supports US1100 faculty and students

Rebecca Ormsby and Angela Smith of the Division of Information Technology’s Marketing and Communications office were happy to take part in the University Seminar 1100 Faculty Resource Showcase on August 16 and 19 in the Family and Consumer Sciences building.

Ormsby, a communications specialist, and Smith, a marketing and promotions coordinator, hosted a table and were available to talk to the more than 170 faculty members who will teach US 1100 in the fall semester. DOIT has many services available to new students. The goal of the outreach was to let faculty know about some of the services, as well as the willingness of Marketing and Communications office staff to deliver in-class presentations to students about those services.

The services DOIT offers, such as Office 365, OneDrive, TRACS, and the TXST Mobile app, can help students be successful in their first semester at Texas State, and their entire academic career.

If you are a faculty member who is interested in learning more or would like to schedule an in-class presentation, contact the office via email at DOIT@txstate.edu.
