The semester is ramping up and tests are right around the corner. Sometimes you need to de-stress. Taking a moment for yourself can help foster new ideas and a better mindset that helps you study more effectively.
So take a break and join the DOIT team for a fun experience with virtual reality (VR) at the Albert B. Alkek library this week. We’ll be on the second floor of the library at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.
You will have a chance to use a cutting-edge Oculus Go VR headset. Put the headset on to be transported to underwater places, outer space, different gaming worlds, and much more. It’s a pretty cool headset that requires no phone or cables running to a PC. It can play movies, run games, and help you meet up with friends.
Come on out, take a quick study break, and experience VR with us this week. You will even be able to take home a cellphone headset of your own (while supplies last)! Best yet, you will also learn how you can win your very own Oculus Go from DOIT.
Here is a fun video of senior citizens trying VR for the first time!
