TXST Mobile app update gets personal

The TXST mobile app keeps getting better and better! The latest update, released last week, features a new user profile section where students can easily access and edit their personal information.

The type of personal information you can update includes:

  • Alternative email addresses
  • Phone number(s) on file
  • Emergency contact(s)
  • Addresses on file

These are important to keep up-to-date because it’s how Texas State gets in contact with you and your family for important matters. The university mails out diplomas, dean’s list announcements, and other important announcements. Additionally, having personal and emergency contact phone numbers are crucial because it’s a faster method for the university to reach you for sensitive important matters.

Bobcats now also have their Net ID and A number information right at their fingertips. It’s a real-life saver! Have you ever taken a test where your A number is required, but you forgot it or don’t have it memorized just yet? You don’t have to access CatsWeb or TRACS anymore to look it up. It’s now accessible on your phone with just a few taps.

Not only can you view and edit, but the app alerts you when your personal information is missing as well. A red icon will appear and you’ll be able to add or edit it from your phone.

If your phone doesn’t automatically update the app, be sure to update it by visiting the Apple App Store and Google Play. For more information about the update, see the TXST Mobile page.
