We’ve all googled software how-tos and ended up watching cringy, unhelpful YouTube videos that try to explain a specific software for class or work. But let’s be honest, nobody has time to click through a slew of videos just to figure out how to do something simple. Luckily, there is an easier (and free!) way to gain software skills with LinkedIn Learning at Texas State.
LinkedIn Learning provides access to over 15,000 courses led by industry experts and shows you how to use various software ranging from Photoshop to AutoCAD to Excel. Each of these courses are broken up subject-specific lessons, so you don’t have to watch a 20-minute video just to figure out how to export a video from Premiere Pro. Lessons are also paired with working files so you can follow along with the tutorials while watching. However, all the programs you follow don’t have to be school or work-based! There are lots of fun lessons as well, including vlogging, creating fonts, or animation.
At Texas State, you get access to all of this completely free, and it’s super easy to set up your account. As a student, that takes so much stress off my shoulders because I know I have a resource to help me be ahead of the class. No matter what you’re trying to learn, LinkedIn Learning has your back.
