Working remotely? These tools may help

Remote-working has become the new normal at Texas State and workplaces across the nation. The Division of Information Technology (DOIT) offers several free online and cloud-based services to the university community. If you are one of the many faculty and staff working remotely, here are several tools DOIT provides that you can use to enhance your work experience and productivity.

Office 365 is a business essential. In addition to staple products like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, it offers more than 25 Microsoft apps. Planner and To-Do help you to stay organized. SharePoint and Teams make it easy to collaborate with your colleagues. With Teams, you can chat, share files, and create as many groups as you need to work with the people you need.

Adobe Creative Cloud gives you access to a range of software you can use for creative work. Adobe Creative Cloud products include Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Tools in the cloud can help you to edit and create beautiful images, work on graphic design, draft illustrations, and more.

LinkedIn Learning offers video-courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business fields. With LinkedIn Learning, you can cater to your learning needs. If you’d like to learn a skill quickly, you can watch a short video tutorial. If you want to delve more deeply into a topic, there are learning paths available that provide a recommended list of courses to maximize learning.

These are just the tip of the iceberg. DOIT provides more than 100 tech services to the university. As your work-life transitions, now is the time to see what all is available to help you along the way.
