Upcoming workshop: Electronic and Information Resources Accessibility

Upcoming workshop: Electronic and Information Resources Accessibility

While working with faculty and staff at Texas State University, the number one question I receive while collaborating is, “Where can I find training for this topic?” Typically, trainees are directed to the Texas State Digital Accessibility website for online assistance. Still, some learners require hands-on practice before these concepts click and the purpose behind accessibility becomes clear.

The Office of Human Resources, Office of Disability Services, and the Division of Information Technology have partnered to bring hands-on accessibility training to the Texas State community to meet these institutional needs. The first training, Electronic and Information Resources Accessibility, will cover accessibility basics, legal issues facing higher education, hands-on practice with Word documents, and demonstrations with assistive technology.
