Protect every password with LastPass

Protect every password with LastPass

Passwords are the first line of defense against unauthorized access to your online accounts, computer, tablet, or phone. Poorly chosen passwords can make your information vulnerable to criminals. Your safety is important to us, and that’s why Texas State University has partnered with LastPass to bring faculty and staff LastPass Enterprise!

Why LastPass?
LastPass is a secure password manager that remembers your passwords, so you don’t have to. It provides a secure vault for storage of passwords, and other secure information. LastPass also has the capability for teams to securely share passwords. As a bonus, Texas State is providing you with access to a LastPass Premium account for the storage of your personal passwords.

Stop saving passwords in browsers
Many people store passwords in multiple locations, like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. While this may seem convenient, storing passwords in multiple browsers or directly on your device is an easy way to have passwords stolen.

What to do now
We encourage you to set up your LastPass Enterprise account as soon as possible. Once you create your vault, add all the passwords you have stored in other locations. LastPass will tell you if you have repeated or weak passwords and will help you create better passwords.
