Virtual reality, defined by Dictionary.com, “is a realistic and immersive simulation of a three-dimensional environment, created using interactive software and hardware, and experienced or controlled by movement of the body.” From video games, movies, YouTube videos or even operating rooms simulations, VR is becoming incorporated into day-to-day activities.
If you want to try a quick and starter level version of VR, check out the Google Cardboard. Available on both iOS and Android, the Cardboard App together with the headset brings immersive content to you wherever you go.
Set up takes less than 30 seconds, just place your phone inside the cardboard and secure the velcro pieces together.
One minute you can be sitting in your dorm laying in bed, the next you could be taking a walk in France! Virtual reality is opening up new worlds for people across the globe.
