Job scam targets Texas State users

Bobcats should always stay alert in keeping their email and data safe from potential hackers. Scammers tried to launch a phishing attack against Texas State users recently involving a fake job offer.

A Bobcat received a text message from a friend who goes to another university that contained a screenshot of what they believed to be a job opportunity. It ended up being a phishing email targeting their friend’s school.
