To celebrate the end of the semester, the Division of Information Technology (DOIT) will be giving away an Oculus Go VR headset and an Amazon Fire HD10 tablet to two lucky subscribers of this blog. All Texas State students, faculty, and staff are eligible to enter – except for IT Division employees – assuming the requirements for a valid entry are met.
In order to constitute a valid entry, all entrants must:
- Be a current student, faculty, or staff of Texas State University
- Must enter no later than 11:59 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 2, 2020

Contest entry period
This contest opens at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020.
It ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020.
Winner selection
The winners of the giveaway will be selected by a random drawing, which will be completed electronically. One drawing will be completed where a single winner of a black Amazon Fire HD10 tablet will be selected. One drawing will be completed where a single winner of an Oculus Go 32GB VR headset will be selected.
Winner notification
Winners will be notified by an announcement on a DOIT blog post, and on DOIT social media Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram channels between, Dec. 3 and Dec. 7. The announcement will specifically mention the name of the winning subscriber. DOIT will send an email to the subscriber’s email address and they must respond within 48 hours to claim their prize or a new winner will be chosen. Winners will be required to accept their prize in person and take a photo to be used on the division’s social media channels and in the winner announcement blog post.
