Let Microsoft Bookings work for you

Let Microsoft Bookings work for you

If you’re a Texas State faculty or staff member, you are probably no stranger to meetings. Luckily, there is a tool that can help us with scheduling called Microsoft Bookings. Bookings is part of Microsoft 365, a suite of productivity apps free to all Bobcats.

This tool is fast, easy to use, and takes the work of scheduling off your hands. If you or your team need to schedule meetings often with students or other faculty and staff, then you will love Microsoft Bookings.

The service allows you to:

  • Create a calendar for others to schedule appointments with you
  • Customize your settings by appointment type
  • Integrate with your team’s Outlook calendars to avoid double-booking

…and more!

See how departments on campus are using this service in our previous post.

Since Microsoft Bookings integrates with Teams, you can choose to have each booking generate a meeting link for you to hold meetings virtually in Teams. Alternately, you can add booking slots to your Teams calendar so that you never need to leave Teams for meetings.

This tool is ideal if you need to set office hours or if you don’t want to think about scheduling. Microsoft Bookings does the work for you.
