Registration is upon us, and we want to help students facilitate scheduling. We understand your professors’ importance during your college career, so the Division of Information Technology is happy to provide the Faculty Profiles service. You can find faculty biographies, awards, grants, creative works (which are especially important to me as a communication major), and more through this service. Faculty Profiles holds information from instructors across all majors.

As a college student, I began using RateMyProfessor but realized that it had inaccurate information about instructor teaching styles and course work. On the other hand, Faculty Profiles gives us an accurate description of our future instructors’ hobbies, work, and more.
If you are a student looking for research opportunities, Faculty Profiles is the place to go. You can discover various research endeavors instructors have made that align with your interests. Not only is it a great resource to know more about your instructor before classes begin, but it also provides contact information to reach out to them for any questions you may have.
As an advertising major, it was interesting to see where faculty have worked before coming to Texas State, as I am nearing the end of my college career and entering the real world, as they say. Visit Faculty Profiles, and get to know your future lecturers right from home!
