The IT Assistance Center (ITAC) Service offices are located at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and are available to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and retired staff or faculty. We not only provide support to university devices, but we also offer the troubleshooting and repair of certain personal devices.

Software Support

Do you have questions about installing Microsoft Office, connecting to Wi-Fi, or Bobcatmail? We can help! Our Service Center desk works with all ITAC supported software.

Are you an on-campus student and concerned about possible malware on your computer? We assist with basic scans for malware to help keep Bobcats computers healthy at no charge!

Hardware Troubleshooting

Do you have a question about your device running slow or error messages? Our team will work with you at our desk to look at the issue and offer next steps. Many software issues can be resolved at our desk, but some issues, especially with hardware, may take more support. That’s where our repair team may be able to assist.

Check-in for Repairs

The ITAC Service center is also the spot to check your device in for repair. Our repair team is Apple and Dell certified and qualified to help with computer and laptop repairs in warranty and out of warranty. Do you have a computer that isn’t an Apple or Dell? Please feel free to stop by and we can provide more information on how our team may be able to help.

Our repair team can evaluate your computer and provide an estimate for repair. We provide competitive prices for out-of-warranty repairs, and many warranty repairs may be free!

While our team would love to promise that we can repair any device, there are some devices that we cannot repair:

  • Personal Cell phones, tablets, and wearables (Bluetooth headphones, smartwatches).
  • Chromebooks.
  • Cameras.
