As we start to wrap up the spring semester, you may be tempted to forget about school and dive head-first into summer vacation. However, it is important to protect your technology over the break, especially if you are planning to travel outside the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
If you plan on accessing school and work files while abroad, you need to use the travel notification feature to securely access your Microsoft 365 apps and BobcatMail. If you don’t turn on the feature before traveling, you will be unable to access Microsoft tools.
You can enable the “International Traveler Setting” feature by accessing the Online Toolkit. You must log in using your NetID and set the traveler setting to “on.” Once you return from your trip, turn the setting off to best protect your NetID account. You may also enable the tool using the TXST Mobile app.
Wherever you plan on traveling this summer, it is important to be prepared to keep your technology as safe and secure as possible. We hope you have a safe and happy summer, and we cannot wait to see you next fall!
