DOIT Services has your technology for online working

Whether you are a Texas State student, faculty, or staff member, working remotely is an adjustment for all Bobcats. I wanted to remind you all about the DOIT Services website. Don’t forget you have access to many free tech services that can help you succeed, and you can find them all on the site.

It has links to all the tech services available, including:

Zoom

A student watches an instructor's video lecture.

This is the video conferencing software many at Texas State are using. Instructors are holding classes and office hours on Zoom, students can use it to meet up with other classmates or student organizations, and staff can collaborate with other colleagues.

Office 365

A magnifying glass looks at office 365 icons.

This important suite of productivity apps includes Word, Excel, OneDrive and Teams. It has over 20 apps with a variety of uses from productivity apps to those that can help with task management and collaboration.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe creative cloud icons are shown on a computer.

Students have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud until May 31. It includes the suite of creative apps such as Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and more. Faculty and staff also have access, so now everyone at Texas State can get creative.

Mediaflo and Ensemble Anthem

A hand pushes the play button on a video on a computer screen.

These two tools allow faculty to create video recordings and share them with their classes. With Ensemble Anthem, you use the software to record yourself lecturing either in full screen, speaking over a screen share, or have a minimized window of your webcam in the corner over a screenshare. You can then upload the video directly to Mediaflo, where it can be watched online. You can share the link, which you can even customize, with your students. This services is also available to staff who may be interested.

WebFiles

A laptop shows file cabinets coming out of the screen.

This is a great tool for all Bobcats to access their UDrive, or for faculty and staff needing to access their departmental file share. It gives you quick access to your files from anywhere and from any web browser.

These are only a few, but there are much more – nearly 100 services in all. Find the services mentioned above and more on the DOIT Services website.
