College students are always looking for ways to save money. While we’re still learning and working remotely, it’s nice to have affordable options to help you out. Even though we’re almost done with the spring semester, most of these discounts can be used year round!
For those taking Summer I classes, I’d like to highlight one of my favorite discounts available right now: the Adobe Creative Cloud software. It’s rare that students are able to get these services entirely for free, but due to the majority of students doing online school, Adobe has offered these apps for no cost! Don’t forget that this is, unfortunately, a temporary offer—so take advantage of this opportunity while you can. Even if you don’t have any projects due that need work done on Adobe, I’d recommend taking a peek into what these apps have to offer.
Besides Adobe CC, there are plenty of software discounts available to you through the DOIT Services page. One in particular that I heavily use for my mass communication courses is WordPress personal blog sites. Using WordPress for assignments and projects can put you above and beyond your peers! The platform is easy to maneuver and has plenty of free options for users.
The next available discount for Texas State students is well known and loved across campus: Office 365! Although Outlook is already a staple in our daily lives, most people don’t realize how much Office 365 has to offer and how lucky we are to have these tools at our disposal, all for free. I personally use Teams and Word the most for work and course related activities, but there are about twenty apps available to use for various projects. Check out the Office 365 service page to easily access their tools at any time.
There may be a lot of information here, but there are even MORE discounts for students available to you 24/7 through DOIT Services, along with ITAC support pages to get you the help you need. Save your moolah, Bobcats!
