If you’ve been on campus this semester, there are a lot of changes in place. Many classes are remote, but there are still some Bobcats who need to be on campus. In order to support remote learning and social distancing efforts, the university has transformed the LBJ Ballrooms into the Remote Learning Hubs. The ballrooms are equipped with socially distanced, computer-equipped workstations and bring-your-own-device workspaces.
The computers in the Remote Learning Hubs are equipped with basic software to support online learning like the Office 365 Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom, and Teams with an internal webcam for class participation. If you have your own laptop, but just need a space to work, work areas have power and wired internet connectivity available. Wi-Fi will be available in the hubs, but you’ll need to bring your own network adapter if you plan to connect with an ethernet cable. Headphones will not be provided, so bringing your own will be a great idea so as not to disturb others around you.
