TXST Mobile app updates for an easier semester

As a new Texas State University transfer student, you can imagine the overwhelming feeling I had trying to navigate the campus. Locating classes, and making sure to get on the right bus, are crucial to any students’ success. When I was told there was a mobile app that contained all this information for me, I was beyond relieved to know so much information was at my fingertips. But the app has undergone some changes, so what’s new?

My Courses

Whether you’re a new student, or returning for the semester, figuring out which textbooks and course materials you need for class and where to find them can be a tedious search that only ends in frustration. With the Texas State mobile app, students can now quickly find this information by clicking the My Courses icon, then selecting the book symbol at the top right of the screen. This folder is neatly organized so you can see exactly what book you need for which class, then once you’re ready, you can place your order through the Texas State bookstore for pickup or delivery. How great is that?

Events

Have a Texas State event you’re thinking about attending? The mobile app not only has a separate section for school related events and athletics, but you can now invite your friends and family to any event or sports competition of your choosing. All you need to do is click on the Events icon, select your event, then click Forward to Friends. It’s that easy!

Coming from a student who’s new to Texas State this semester, I know I need all the help I can get with this latest transition. The mobile app already has a library full of helpful information for students, and these new updates just made it a whole lot easier. If you want more details on these and previous updates, visit the TXST Mobile website
